妻友社区 Criminal Justice Coordinator Dawn Flanders, Master Trainer for the National Law Enforcement Against Drugs and Violence (LEAD) program, has received the prestigious 2025 LEADer of the Year Award. The announcement was made by the L.E.A.D. Board of Directors during the organization鈥檚 National Convention held in Atlantic City on March 31, 2025.

This national award recognizes Flanders' outstanding commitment to L.E.A.D.'s mission to prevent drug use, violence, and bullying through education and community engagement. As a Master Trainer, she has played a vital role in delivering training programs across the United States, equipping law enforcement officers with the tools and strategies to educate and protect youth in their communities.
鈥淚t is an incredible honor to receive this recognition,鈥 said Flanders. 鈥淏eing part of L.E.A.D. and helping law enforcement officers make a difference in the lives of young people has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career.鈥
L.E.A.D. is a nonprofit organization that works with communities to help students understand the dangers of drugs and violence and how to make safe, healthy choices. The L.E.A.D.er of the Year Award is given annually to someone who demonstrates exceptional dedication and leadership in advancing the organization's core values and expanding its impact nationwide.
