The College is excited to launch two new certificate programs in American Sign Language and Patient Care Technician for the Fall 2025 semester.
The College held a Business Networking event with local employers, a Criminal Justice Job fair for students, an Electrical Lineworker Expo, and the SCCC Film Festival. These events brought together hundreds of students, faculty, staff, and community members.
The Student Excellence Awards ceremony recognized outstanding students for their academic excellence, peer service, contributions to the College, and personal growth.
SCCC collaborated with NJCCC, the New Jersey Council for the Humanities, and Princeton University's Humanities Initiative. They sent three delegates to Princeton University for the first of a planned series of gatherings to explore, celebrate, and support innovative Humanities work at SCCC.
Criminal Justice Coordinator Dawn Flanders received the 2025 National Law Enforcement Against Drugs and Violence L.E.A.D.er of the Year Award. She is a Master Trainer for L.E.A.D. and was awarded this designation by the board of directors for her exemplary service in training L.E.A.D. throughout the U.S.
The Charlie Brown Spring Musical, directed by Christa Piper, and under the musical direction of Dr. Deb Gianuzzi, delivered a whimsical performance. Dr. Gianuzzi shared that this was the first SCCC musical in many years, featuring an entirely student and alumni cast.Ìý
The Phi Theta Kappa honor society celebrated its induction of new members. Led by PTK advisor and English Instructor Daniel Warhol, this celebration joyfully recognized our hard-working and high-achieving students.
The Opening Reception of the Spring Student Artwork Showcase will be on May 2, 5-7 p.m., in the PAC Atrium.
Public Safety Training Academy DirectorÌýJohn Dixon was awarded theÌýBusiness Innovation Award at the Sussex County Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Luncheon. The award recognizes companies that initiate new ideas and approaches to business and challengeÌýthe status quo.
Diane Pienta-Lett, Director of Financial Aid, received the Arthur C. Richmond Distinguished Service Award by the NJ Assoc. of Student Financial Aid Administrators in recognition of her service to NJASFAA and the financial aid profession.
Skylanders Athletics is excited to announce the addition of the new JV baseball team set to debut in 2026.
Men's Lacrosse will host a tournament on campus for junior high and high school teams on May 31 and June 1.
