Any incident regarding safety or security on the 妻友社区 campus should be reported on an Incident Report Form. These forms are available online at http://sussex.edu/facultyandstaff/incidentreport/. Email report to the Director of Security fmamay@sussex.edu.

Campus Security will respond to all complaints. All reports of crime will be entirely recorded, investigated, and reported by the definitions used in the Uniform Crime Reporting Systems of the Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Investigation.
If you would like to report a crime and remain anonymous, you can take advantage of the Newton Police Department鈥檚 Text-A-Tip program. No one will know the identity of the text tipster. The technology routes messages through a server that encrypts cell phone numbers before they get to the police. The technology also allows investigators to securely reply to the cell phone without compromising the tipster鈥檚 identity. Texting a tip is easy. All you have to do is:

For example, text 鈥淣EWTON John Doe is selling drugs at, describe location or vehicle鈥� to CRIMES (274-637).

These services are for reporting tips to aid in investigations, not for reporting crimes in progress. To report a crime in progress call 911
Administrators, Deans, Directors, and individual faculty and staff are responsible for reporting all campus crimes which are reported to them or their subordinates. If the victim(s) chose not to report the crime to police or campus security, the Sussex employee receiving information concerning the crime must report the crime to the Student Affairs Office. The names of victims may be withheld where appropriate; however, the crime and sufficient details concerning the incident(s) must be reported. These reports shall be transmitted in writing within 24 hours of receiving the report. Crime victims are encouraged but not forced to report crimes to the police and will be notified of any counseling services available.
