The 3+1 Ramapo at Sussex Program allows students to complete their associate degree, take their junior year courses on the Sussex campus, and finish their senior year at Ramapo College to complete their bachelor’s degree. With this pathway, students pay Sussex tuition for three years and only one year of Ramapo tuition—offering a significantly more affordable route to earning a bachelor’s degree.

Students who maintain or exceed a 2.5 GPA and complete their associate degree in Criminal Justice, Liberal Arts, or Psychology are eligible for the corresponding bachelor’s degree at Ramapo College. All other graduates should inquire about their eligibility.
Both Sussex and Ramapo offer state and federal financial aid to students who qualify according to aid requirements. Prerequisites may not be covered by financial aid.
Once you complete your associate degree and are accepted to the 3+1 Ramapo at Sussex Program, you can start taking classes for the corresponding bachelor's degree on the Sussex campus. Some courses are standard Sussex courses and some are new courses developed with Ramapo faculty, specifically for the program.
Please note:ÌýThese courses are tailored exclusively for the 3+1 program; only pursue this third semester if you fully intend to transfer to Ramapo College into one of the specified programs, as these credits will not transfer easily to other institutions.
Yes, students can transfer at any time, although we do recommend you complete your associate degree.
