The College Placement Test assesses students'Ìýcurrent ability levels in reading, writing, and mathematics and can be used to determine if taking developmental classes is in your best interest.
The following Accuplacer sub-tests are given: WritePlacer Essay, Reading Comprehension, Sentence Skills, Math Computation and Algebra. Results are immediately generated after the test.

CLEP is a series of examinations that allow individuals to earn college credit for what they know, regardless of where they learned it. CLEP is the most widely accepted credit-by-examination program in the United States.
CLEP Tests are scheduled several times a month. The tests are all 90 minutes long, except for College composition which is 120 minutes long.
There is an additional $30 Proctor Fee to take a CLEP Test at ÆÞÓÑÉçÇø.

The DSST is another credit-by-examination program that allows individuals to earn college credit for what they know.

The High School Equivalency (HSE) examÌýoffers a tuition-free alternate path to achieving your high school diploma. The HSE program provides an opportunity to earn your high school diploma.Ìý
The curriculum is self-paced focusing on your educational needs and abilities. Students work in small groups with the help of instructors and tutors. The subjects studied are the same as those included on the HSE Exam; math, science, social studies, language arts, and reading. The program also aids in the transition to college.

Pearson Vue offers certification exams for academic, government and professional testing programs.ÌýThese exams are available for Sussex students andÌýforÌýanyone in the community to take. Registration and payment are done through Pearson VUE.ÌýÌý
Pearson Vue exams are offered only on Mondays at ÆÞÓÑÉçÇø.

All students applying to the Nursing ProgramÌýare required to take the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) prior to applying.Ìý
TEAS is a timed, computerized test that measures basic academic knowledge in Reading, Math, English and Language Usage.Ìý The Science portion is not included.Ìý A passing score on the TEAS is a minimum of 50% correct (Adjusted Individual Score) in each of the subject areas.Ìý
A passing score is required, but does not guarantee acceptance into the Nursing Program.Ìý Students are permitted to take the TEAS test ONCE per semester.
